About Me
This is my ninth year working at PVHS. I am a Fordham University graduate and come to you with experience working with both elementary school students and high school students. As School Psychologist at PVHS, my goal is to support the academic achievement and emotional well-being of all students, especially those who struggle with barriers to learning. I am responsible for:
- Initial psycho-educational evaluations and re-evaluations of classified students.
- Case management of special education and 504 students, including chairing Annual Reviews and 504 Meetings and
participating in special education/guidance team meetings
- Participation in developing Response To Intervention (RTI). Peer Mediation and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) teams
- Classroom observations
- Individual and group counseling
- Crisis intervention
- Behavioral consultation, including development of functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans.
- Consultation with staff, parents, administrators and outside professionals
I am also available to speak with any student who is going through a difficult time. Together we can problem solve and practice skills needed to get through the situation. Any student is free to stop in on a regular basis or just once in a while for a check in and/or safe and comfortable place to stay.
If you need to contact me you can call my office at 845-526-7847 ex. 1398 or email me at [email protected]
